NEWPRO Employee Spotlight: Jeff Connors
Twenty years is a long time to be doing anything, much less working the same job. But it is a twenty years well worth it for Jeff Connors. In our first monthly edition of NEWPRO Employee Spotlight, we take a moment to appreciate Jeff Connors and all the work he’s done for NEWPRO.
Jeff Connors started working for NEWPRO on September 28th, 1996. He works as a Sr. team lead installer serving Northern New England . While he always seems to be on the go, we had the chance to ask him a few questions about his time spent with NEWPRO.
With two decades under his belt, Connors had a hard time identifying one memorable experience. “There are so many.” he said fondly, “Between the company picnics and corporate events, it’s hard to choose.” Though two memories did come to his mind. The first, a clambake in Ipswich, MA. Connors remembers the classic New England tradition with a smile, saying that there was buffet of seafood for all NEWPRO employees. The second, was a trip to Canobie Lake park, an event for not only NEWPRO employees, but their families as well. Not only did Connors have fun with his family, but with the other NEWPRO families. It was a great bonding day, despite the long line for the Yankee Cannonball.
Customer relations is not the first thing you think an installer would enjoy, but to Connors it’s his favorite part of the job. Since he is specifically located in Northern New England, he has become connected to the communities and has got to know the customers over his 20 year tenure. With NEWPRO’s long life warranties for their products and exceptional customer service, homeowners know that they can depend on the NEWPRO team. As Connors has spent time servicing NEWPRO products in homes over they years he enjoys watching families grow up over the years as well as NEWPRO expand throughout these communities. “I think the best thing is when I go to a home, and the customer is a 2nd or 3rd generation homeowner. I saw them when they were in their parents home with NEWPRO, and now they are homeowners and carry on the NEWPRO tradition in their own home.” He was silent for a moment, “Though it does make me feel a bit old.”
With twenty years of experience, we asked what he’s looking forward to in the future. To which, he replied rather simply, “To see more families grow up.”
Thank you, Jeff Connors, for your twenty years with NEWPRO Home Improvement and here’s to another successful twenty years!
