On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. This law extends the tax credits for energy efficiency into 2011 at adjusted levels.

NFRC LabelTo qualify the windows and doors must meet a U-Factor rating and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient equivalent to or less than .30. Not all Energy Star rated windows qualify. The tax credit applies to the cost of product only. The labor/installation costs are not eligible for the tax credit.
